Brockton VA MRI

Powered an addition that included emergency generator and fire alarm installations

The Brockton VA MRI project involved a new 2-story, 14,000 square-foot addition to an existing building. The purpose of the addition was to house a new imaging center consisting of an MRI Suite, CT-Scan, Ultra Sound, Mammography, and Bone Density. It also included additional office space for the medical staff. To power the addition, we installed a 500KVA pad mount transformer which provided a new 800A, 480/277V service. The pad mount was tied into the existing campus underground 13.8kv primary power supply. We installed a 300kw generator to provide backup power to life safety and critical equipment. We expanded off of the hospitals existing systems to provide fire alarm, PA, and telecommunication to the addition.
